Mike Kilbury has been practicing law alongside Larry Peterson since 1982. Prior to obtaining his legal license, Mike worked in the bar, restaurant and housing management industries.
Mike excels in cases where workers' compensation claims evolve to overlap with various other areas of the law, including unemployment benefit disputes, Minnesota Human Rights Act claims, ADA claims, FMLA claims, employment contracts, separation agreements, and others. Mike has a keen eye for identifying issues in these areas and proactively addressing them as part of his ongoing workers' compensation defense strategy.
In addition to practicing law, Mike spent 15 years as an adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law teaching a workers' compensation law course alongside fellow partner Larry Peterson.
Mike focuses his practice on workers' compensation law defense, employment law defense, and employment law/business contracts.
